Hi there, my name is

NATALEIGH KANE

OWNER AND visionary behind SOUTHERN EQUINE BODYWORK LLC

My passion for helping horses is what fueled me to start Southern Equine Bodywork. I wanted to find the best way to help my own horse, after he bowed a tendon years ago.

Little did I know that would be the spark to light the fire. Years later, I decided to become a certified equine rehabilitation therapist. With that training, I learned how to rehab and help every horse feel their best.

What started as a need for one horse turned into a calling to help others. I know what it’s like to be searching for answers and not getting any and that’s why I built SEB.

This work is personal to me, and I bring that level of care into every horse I work on.

THE STORY OF SEB:

how i got here, and what i've learned along the way.

Southern Equine Bodywork was born out of experience, necessity, and a whole lot of heart. Back in 2017 my best horse, Tracker, bowed a tendon. I was young, determined, and desperate to help him recover but I didn’t have access to high-end therapy options or endless resources. So I did what I’ve always done, I got to work.

With the help of a great vet, old-school rehab methods, and a lot of hands-on care, Tracker made a full  recovery. That process lit a fire in me. I wanted to learn everything I could about helping horses heal and stay sound.

A few years later I officially stepped into this world by earning my first certification in equine sports massage therapy. From there, I kept going expanding my education and refining my skills to make sure I could be a real resource for the horses and owners who needed someone to show up and do the work the right way.

Today, I’m certified in:
  • Equine Sports Massage Therapy - Equissage
  • Equine Flexion Therapy - Dan Marcum
  • Equine Rehabilitation Therapy - Learn Equine Therapy/Superior Therapy
  • Equiscope Technician - Thorp Institute
  • Recognized by the IAAMB

And continuing to pursue several more certifications that I can’t wait to share.

I work with a wide range of horses, from elite athletes in training, to pasture sound retirees, to those recovering from EPM, injury, or surgery. I use a whole-horse approach, blending different modalities and techniques and even structured rehab plans based on what each horse needs most. No one-size-fits-all templates. Just honest, effective care rooted in real experience and continued education.

PREHAB

priː.hæb (Noun)

Short for prehabilitation, prehab is the practice of enhancing muscle and joint function in order to reduce risk of injury, increase physical performance, and help maintain unrestricted mobility.

BECAUSE OF HIM,

I GET TO SPEND MY LIFE HELPING OTHER HORSES JUST LIKE HIM.

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE PRODUCTS

MAGIC MUD POLTICE

This is my favorite poultice for legs, backs, and sore muscles. It’s clean, easy to apply and one of the few products I trust on both my horses and myself.

hay chix hay nets

These hay nets are a game changer for managing hay, waster, and keeping horses eating the way they’re meant to. I use them daily for rehab horses and at home. Durable, safe, and worth every penny.

electro equiscope

This is one of the resident pieces of equipment at SEB. I use it on nearly every horse, whether it’s paired with bodywork or on its own. It’s a game changer for reducing inflammation, supporting the nervous system, and helping the body heal.

Draw it out gel concentrate

For muscle soreness, swelling, and post-session relief. This is always in my kit for bodywork days or horses in active recovery.

I LOVE Bluebonnet Feed and Supplements.

Bluebonnet is all that i feed personally.

I’ve fed bluebonnet for years and won’t feed anything else - period. Their feeds are made with locked formulas, closed labels, and guaranteed analysis, meaning the ingredients never change from batch to batch, the tag lists everything that’s in the bag, and the nutrition is consistent every time. No surprises, no ingredient swaps. It’s the foundation of every rehab plan I build and I trust it with my own horses every day.
