At Southern Equine Bodywork, I treat every horse like the athlete they are. Whether they’re in full work, rehabbing from an injury, or just needing support to stay comfortable and moving well. My focus is on practical, preventative, and recovery-focused care that supports both comfort and performance.

From bodywork and equiscope to rehab and fitness plans, every session is tailored with intention, for the horse in front of me. No templates. No shortcuts. Just thoughtful, effective care that puts your horse first.

My mission:

INDIVIDUALIZED CARE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

I’m the owner, heart, and hands behind Southern Equine Bodywork — a mobile therapy business with one goal: to help horses feel and perform their best.

My unique approach combines real-world experience with certifications in equine massage, flexion therapy, and equiscope therapy. But more than that, it comes from being a horse owner who once needed answers and couldn’t find them.

REAL STORIES. REAL RESULTS.

"Nataleigh is the best, hands down! 2 out of my 4 she works on are super weird about new people and new things! They immediately took to Nataleigh and how they felt after she worked on them that she perk up every time they see her! She has helped rehab new and old injuries to the point they are no concern at all anymore!!"

"I’ve had the pleasure of working with Nataleigh Kane of Southern Equine Bodywork for several of my horses, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Nataleigh is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and attentive to each horse’s individual needs.

After sessions with Nataleigh, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my horses’ flexibility, performance, and overall demeanor. Whether it’s helping a high-performance jumper stay at the top of their game or keeping our lesson horses comfortable and happy, Nataleigh’s work has made a noticeable difference."

"Nataleigh has worked on all 3 of my horses many times and always gives them the best care. There are a lot of people these days who offer bodywork services, but it is rare to find those like Nataleigh who have a way of seeing and feeling things with a horse. My horses love it when she gets her hands on them and they always feel better afterwards!"

"Nataleigh is amazing!

She is very thorough with her bodywork and equally knowledgeable. She doesn't rush and she listens to the horse of they are saying something doesn't feel good to them. My horses always seem to enjoy their sessions with her.

Nataleigh is very professional. Her communication is excellent. I look forward to her visits and am thankful to have her as a provider in the Jackson area. She is an integral part to my horse's health and well being."

You might be wondering,
WHAT IS EQUISCOPE ANYWAY?

Let me tell you about it! The Equiscope is a microcurrent therapy device that scans for and targets areas of inflammation, nerve dysfunction, and cellular imbalance. It uses a gentle, non-invasive current to help the body heal faster and more efficiently. Most horses relax during their session while some may even fall asleep. I use it alongside hands-on bodywork to support recovery, reduce pain and inflammation, and keep the nervous system firing properly. It’s especially helpful for chronic soreness, soft tissue injuries, post-operative recovery, and even neurological conditions like EPM, where the nervous system needs extra support.

Some other COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

can bodywork help my horse perform better?

Absolutely! When a horse is tight, sore, or uncomfortable, they’re not going to move or perform at their best, just like us. Bodywork helps release tension, reduce soreness, improve circulation, increase range of motion and support your horse’s overall comfort and wellness.

how often do you recommend a horse should receive bodywork or equiscope?

It really depends on the horse. Some need consistent work due to past injuries or ongoing performance demands. Others do great with monthly or even quarterly maintenance. A horse that is post-operative, dealing with EPM, or battling chronic soreness will need a very different plan than a mostly sound horse just needing the occasional tune-up. Best thing to do? Reach out. I’ll evaluate your horse and help you decide what makes the most sense for their needs and your goals.

How do i know my horse needs your help?

Most horses will benefit from what I do whether they’re competing every weekend or just feeling a little off at home. It’s not always about obvious pain. Sometimes it’s the small stuff; a little stiffness, a change in attitude or just not performing like they used to. Staying proactive with their care helps prevent problems before they start and keeps them feeling and performing their best. I always tell people, its easier to stay ahead than play catch-up.

How do I book your services?

Super simple! You can reach out through my website, social media, or shoot me an email at nataleigh@southernequinebodywork.com. Tell me a little about your horse and what you’re noticing and I’ll help you figure out the best next step.

how long does it take to see results?

It really depends on the horse. Some respond right away, while others need a couple sessions to see major improvement, especially if they’re stoic or not used to bodywork. Results can also depend on the type of issue we’re addressing. Either way we’ll monitor how your horse feels and adjust the plan as needed.

Not quite sure if this is right for you?

That’s totally okay! If you’re unsure, I do offer free consultations to talk things through, no pressure at all. If something looks outside my scope, I have no problem referring you to a vet.

My goal is simple: help your horse feel their best, and support you in doing what’s right for them.

that's okay!
